In Pradeep Vaiddya’s award-winning experimental play *Kajvyancha Gaav* (*Village of Fireflies*), I portrayed **Pratibha**, the middle daughter of a family who has built her life in the USA but returns to her ancestral village for a birthday celebration. As one of the key planners of the gathering, Pratibha becomes a bridge between tradition and modernity—carrying the nostalgia of her roots while embodying the complexities of distance, migration, and evolving family bonds. Through her journey, the play delicately explores how changing values and emotional struggles reshape familial ties in today’s world. With its high-intensity drama and layered storytelling, *Kajvyancha Gaav* received wide acclaim, including the Zee Natyagaurav and M-Town awards for Best Experimental Play, making Pratibha’s story an unforgettable part of its emotional tapestry.
