Creative Journey

"Short films have offered me a creative playground to explore intimate, character-driven stories that highlight subtle emotions and complex human relationships. In this format, every moment matters — and I cherish the challenge of conveying depth and truth within limited screen time. My short film work reflects my love for experimentation, expressive storytelling, and roles that demand sensitivity, honesty, and artistic courage."

🎬 **Jithun Padlya Gaathi (2016)** – *Role: Ashwini Barve (Newlywed Wife)*

I portrayed **Ashwini**, a just-married woman tentatively stepping into a new chapter of life with her husband Ninad. The film tenderly follows their early days together—moments of curiosity, gentle laughter, and hesitant trust—until their first disagreement tests the fragility of their bond. As Ashwini, I embodied the innocence, vulnerability, and quiet courage of a woman learning to open her heart while grappling with the uncertainties of love and companionship. Through her journey, the film reflects on how relationships blossom by patiently untying the knots at their very beginning.

🎬 **Andhere Mein (Short Film)** – *Role: Pono (Mother)*

In this poignant adaptation of Nirmal Verma’s story, I portrayed **Pono**, a mother whose quiet strength and vulnerability unfold through the eyes of her young son. Set in the town of Amravati, the film delicately captures the turbulence within a family as love, tension, and silence shape a child’s memories. As Pono, I brought to life the layered emotions of a woman caught between affection, conflict, and resilience—anchoring the story’s intimate exploration of relationships in the shadows of unspoken truths.

🎬 **Tee: Aai (Short Film)** – *Role: Mother*

In this heartfelt short film inspired by the spirit of the *MeToo* movement, I portrayed the role of a mother—an embodiment of strength, care, and quiet resilience. *Tee: Aai* pays tribute to womanhood in all its forms, celebrating the way women bring healing, balance, and transformation into our lives. Through my performance, I sought to capture the essence of a mother whose presence, though gentle, becomes a profound force of love and guidance.

🎬 **Aarohan (Short Film)** – *Role: Mother to Karthik (Child with Down Syndrome)*

In *Aarohan*, I portray a single mother whose son, **Karthik**, has Down syndrome. Their bond is one of extraordinary tenderness, rooted in the everyday — in care, patience, play, and small but profound joys. As his mother, I lived the fragile beauty of raising a child whose gentle spirit illuminates the ordinary. Working with Karthik and Jyoti tai over just two days brought moments so real that, when the shoot ended, tears came naturally—not for the end, but for the depth of connection we had built. Being a part of this film was a deeply meaningful journey into the heart of caregiving, love, and the courage it takes to embrace the extraordinary in the everyday.
